Where I Live (Remix-March 24, 2009)
I live in Comox Valley, a beautiful Valley on the west coast of Canada, in British Columbia. Comox Valley is on the island of Vancouver Island. There are two islands closest to ours Hornby Island, and Denman Island. On Hornby Island is Tribune Bay, where our grade went to do High Ropes (I have a post about High Ropes) and other activities. If you go to our class blog, there is a video from one of the activities we did which was going to Lunar Beach.
There is a wonderful view from everywhere; you can see mountains, and one is a Glacier. We are very fortunate to have everything we have in the Comox Valley. On Mt. Washington, there is skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, snow tubing, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing and much more in the winter. In the summer, there is a playground that opens up, hiking, chairlifts, and lots of other fun things as well as these I’ve listed.
Another awesome place to go is Comox Lake. There you can camp, boat, swim, and spend a sunny summer day there. Camping in a shady forest, or just relaxing in the sun? If that’s your thing, that’s your place-to-go!
If you like spending a day on the beach, ‘Goose Spit’ is the place for you! From sand to sun, you’re guaranteed to have a super time! ’Goose Spit’ beach is a great place to have fires and roast marshmallows in the evening, adn go swimming or just play in the daytime.
The Comox Valley Sports Center has a pool, and two skating rinks (for figure skating and hockey). There’s also a family/public skate, and if you go to the link for the sports center, there is a schedule you can look at if you ever come here and want to swim or skate! Then, there’s the Aquatic Center, a fun place to swim and slide!
You’ve heard it all, so come see it all!
