Funny, Funny Rosie! (But Don’t Forget BAD!)

My girl dog Rosie is just so funny sometimes! I don’t know why she is, but she’s so funny! Here’s a memory of something that happened with Rosie (which we didn’t think was funny at the time, but now I think it’s kind of funny, but still bad, bad, BAD!)

I was very, very sick one day and we were rearanging my room (don’t ask why, because I don’t know why). Rosie was outside in the front yard and she is actually not very smart. (I always say I have proof she actually has a brain because of two reasons: One, she has brain enough to plot and scheme, and two, you’ll find out at the end of the story)

Well, we were almost done, and Mom looks outside just to see Rosie tearing up 3 plastic bags filled with clothes that were too small for Keenan and I, and she’d torn EVERYTHING up. Yes, even the clothes!

Mom gasps and says, “Haley! Follow me! Get your shoes on and come outside right now!” I looked outside. Bad girl, Rosie!!” I could hear Mom yelling! By the time I got outside, she was laying down on the ground, way, way, away from the torn up clothes and bags, and she had her paws over her nose and her ears up. She knew she’d done something bad and wrong.  (that’s the second part of the proof that she has a brain!) Well she was in trouble. And LOTS OF IT!!

If I Could Only Bring 5 Things…

…what would you bring?

I was tagged by Abigail to write about the 5 things I would bring if I was moving all the way across the world and I could only bring 5 things. I would bring…

  1. My iPod because I got a new one on spring break! it’s purple and it’s the new nano. It’s so cool! (Yes, Michael, I’d bring the charger too; it’s two things, but they go together.)
  2. A scrap book filled with photos of my friends and memories from the place I was moving from.
  3. A Journal/diary so I can record my new life in a new place and compare it with my other journals from when I was living in the place I was moving from.
  4. Oh, and I can’t forget my songbooks! I’ll need that for writing songs when I have inspiration in my new life!
  5. Finally, a box of treasured little things to remember all my friends and family that I would be leaving behind by.

What would you bring?

I’m tagging…

Inspiration (La La La!)

New song idea!

Dad was teaching himself some song on the guitar using a guitar chord wedsite, I jumped on the matresses that was behind him while he was playing, and got a great idea in my head! I ran upstairs and grabbed my pink songbook. I sat down on my bed and suddenly went quiet. I just listened to the lines rolling around in my head…

My hand wrote faster than my mind wrote the words. It was going to be the best song ever! It was perfect…

Oh great, I thought. I was jsut missing this one last verse. I couldn’t think of the right words to put in the song, and I was trying and trying to coem up with the verse, but it was very difficult. Right then and there, while I was thinking hard, A-HA! I got it! All I neded was the right inspiration!

Now, where to get it?

6 Things That Make Me Happy

I was tagged by Marnie to write about the 6 things that make me happy. Well, there’s lots of them, but here’s my top six:

  1. Spending time with family. There’s nothing like spending time with my family!
  2. Listening to music. (You can see a post about my favourite songs here) I enjoy singing along to some of my favorite songs and I guess music just makes me happy!
  3. Dancing. From musical theatre to Ukrainian dance, I love them all!
  4. Singing. Guess what? Exciting news! You know how I was in Valley Idol last year, and made it to the semi-finals? (more about that in another post…) Well, I made it there this year too! Rebecca, Catie and I all made it!
  5. Lauging. When I laugh I am having a good time and usually I laugh with my family and friends.
  6. Reading/Writing. This is fun because I like to read books adn blogs and get ideas, then write my own story that is based on what I’ve read!

Now I am going to tag some other people:

Advice Needed!

Well, first, I need a little help. I’ve noticed that most of my classmates have been changing up their blogs. Well, I haven’t been at school for about a week because I was sick, (You can read about that here) and what should I do to spice up my blog a little? Or should I even change it at all? Well, I can’t decide. Please help me!

Second, what things could I do to make my blog even better? Are there any things that you suggest I do to help make a bigger audience for my blog, and what could I do to improve my posts (and pages)? Do you know any way I could make my writing stronger?

And finally, third, what things do you like about my blog? Have I written something in a post that was interesting that you’d like me to write about again? Have I done something good in a post or made a good choice in widget? Tell me! It’ll be really helpful!

Thank you to EVERYONE who comments on this because it will help me make choices for my blog and posts!

February… The Month Of Sickness…

…and my BIRTHDAY! A few days ago was my birthday and I was sick. No, wait, I am still sick! My mom had had enough of my little coughs (and what she predicted were fevers) since it’d been almost 3 weeks of it, so we scheduled a doctors appointment. The doctor typed down what I told her that I was feeling. She said that I would need a series of tests to be done to confirm what I had.

“What kind of tests?”

I heard ‘bloodwork‘.

“A needle?”

Yes. A needle. ICK. But this wasn’t like the shots I get to prevent horrible sicknesses, it’s the kind so they can see what kind of sickness you have. I was pretty scared about the needle, but trust me, it really wasn’t that bad.

So, one morning I had to take the morning off school so we could go to the hospital to get the bloodwork done. It was horrifying at first and I kept pulling my arm away, until the nurse told me the funniest joke I have EVER HEARD!! I laughed so hard that I stopped trembling and I think I squeezed my Mom’s hand really, really tight, but I don’t remember her saying “ouch!” at all, so I kept squeezing!

Well, the needle went in and the was a long, long clear tube type thing connected to the needle, and I saw red liquid rush up into it fast. I remember thinking, “Oh, that must be my blood… my BLOOD?!?!” There were a few tubes that the blood was filling up into. Finally, the needle was pulled out. I was so relieved, it wasn’t even funny.

Well it wasn’t funny to start with, was it.

Random Much!

So, you’ve taken a random survey on Sophie’s Blog, then on Chelsea’s. Now, here’s mine! I have had my friends tell me I am as random as it gets (or something like that) and I guess I am. So, here’s my random survey… it’s short but random… anyways… here’s my survey…

Weekend, Please Come Soon!

I’m so excited for this weekend! But, why…?

Because this weekend is the… (dramatic pause)… wait for it, wait for it… VALLEY IDOL AUDITIONS!!!!!!! Yes, yes, thank you, thank you, but what to sing?

I can’t believe that it’s this weekend! I don’t even know what to sing, but I’ve been searching my iPod for songs. I have a few possibilities…

  • Breathe by Taylor Swift
  • Don’t you WIsh It Was True by John Fogerty
  • Born To Fly by Sara Evans

What do you think? If you haven’t heard these songs, give me a suggestion!

Okay, I’m also excited because tomorrow is my cousin Kierra’s BIRTHDAY! I won’t get to see her on her birthday, but maybe she’ll come to school. I know I won’t be at school on my birthday! My brother has to, though. Ha ha. (Just kidding, Keenan!)

I’m excited for this week, and weekend. So what can I sing? What are your opinions?
